He attended Lord Byng Secondary School, where he was selected into the visual arts mini-school program. He developed a particular interest in facial aesthetics, and eventually found his way into the profession of orthodontics. After graduating from the University of British Columbia with his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree, Dr. Yang received his specialty training at the University of Illinois Chicago, where the first ever orthodontic residency program in North America was established. From there he earned the Certificate in Orthodontics and the Master of Science. She grew up in Richmond, BC, where she attended Richmond Christian School and graduated from the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme at Richmond High School. After studying pharmaceutical sciences at the University of British Columbia, she went on to start her own path to a career in dentistry, earning her Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree at UBC in 2014.
