Nervous about the dentist
Their website mentions sedation for nervous patients.
Not many reviews mention this yet.
- Say you’re nervous when you book, and ask what helps: a longer appointment, breaks, numbing, laughing gas or sedation.
- If sedation is an option, what does it cost, and will I need someone to take me home?
Cost and paying
- What’s the total, including the exam and X-rays?
- How much will my insurance or the dental care plan cover?
- Does anything cost more than the provincial fee guide?
They don’t post prices online. For a rough idea, see what patients across Canada said they paid.

What patients say
Counted from their Google reviews up to September 2026. Something shows here once at least 3 patients mention it. Bigger clinics get more reviews, so compare with care. Google’s rating and review total change every day, so we round them down (like 4.5+ stars or 250+ reviews) to stay accurate until our next update. See today’s reviews on Google ↗

Their FAQ
Answers from their website.
How does dental staffing work with WORKFORCE in BC?
An office creates an account and posts an open shift with the date, role and location. It goes to verified professionals whose travel radius covers that office, and whoever wants it claims it. On temp and locum bookings the professional is our employee, so registration, insurance and payroll are ours and you get one invoice at an all-in hourly rate. Permanent placement works differently: we introduce candidates and your practice hires them directly.
Do you verify registration for professionals working in BC?
On temporary and locum placements, yes. The professional is our employee on those bookings, so we confirm registration in good standing with the BC College of Oral Health Professionals and carry the insurance before they attend a shift. On a permanent placement the practice is the employer and runs its own verification, so those checks are yours. We never assess clinical skill on either.
Which parts of British Columbia do you cover?
Coverage is deepest in Greater Vancouver and the wider Lower Mainland, with an established presence on Vancouver Island and in the Thompson Okanagan, and a growing pool elsewhere in the province. If your community is not listed yet, contact us and we will tell you honestly what the pool looks like there rather than taking a posting we cannot fill.
What does WORKFORCE charge in British Columbia?
Temporary and locum work is a single all-in hourly rate covering the professional's pay, payroll, remittances and insurance, so nothing is added afterwards. Permanent placement carries a placement fee on conversion, quoted up front before you commit and priced competitively against what a recruiter would charge. We are an agency and we charge agency fees.
I am a dental professional in BC. How do I get shifts?
Join as a Dental Pro, confirm your registration, then set the days you want to work and how far you are willing to travel. Matching shifts come to you and you see the office, location and rate before claiming anything. Every shift runs through WORKFORCE, so however many practices you work it all lands on one T4.
Can a professional registered in another province work in BC?
They need to be registered with the BC College of Oral Health Professionals to practise here. Labour mobility provisions exist between provinces, but the process and eligibility are matters for the College, not for us. We do not advise on licensure, registration or immigration.
Do you cover every municipality in Metro Vancouver?
Coverage extends across all of it. What varies is depth. The pool is deepest along the SkyTrain corridors and in the larger centres, and thinner in the small villages such as Anmore, Belcarra, Lions Bay and Bowen Island, where a request may take longer to be claimed. We would rather say that plainly than imply every municipality behaves the same way and leave you short on the day.
Will a professional based in Vancouver travel to Surrey or Langley?
Some will and some will not, and it is entirely their choice. Professionals set the distance they are willing to travel, and every shift shows its location before anyone claims it, so nobody is dispatched somewhere they did not agree to. Offices further from the core generally do better by posting earlier, which gives more people the chance to plan around the trip.
