Their FAQ
Answers from their website.
Where is your dental clinic located in North York?
We are conveniently located at 5000 Yonge St, right in the heart of North York. Our clinic is easily accessible via North York Centre Station for public transit users, and we offer convenient parking for patients driving from Willowdale and surrounding areas.
Do you accept the Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP)?
Yes, we are happy to treat patients covered under the CDCP! Our goal is to make dental care accessible to everyone in North York. Please bring your Sun Life member card and a valid piece of ID to your first appointment so we can verify your coverage details.
How do I know how much I have to pay?
Your co-payment is determined by the government based on your family income (ranging from 0% to 60% of the CDCP fee). When you come in for your exam, we will submit a "pre-determination" to Sun Life. This will tell us exactly what the plan covers and what portion (if any) you will need to pay out-of-pocket.
How much do dental implants cost in Toronto?
The cost of dental implants varies depending on the complexity of the case and whether bone grafting or a sinus lift is required. We recommend booking a consultation at our 5000 Yonge Smiles Dental clinic for a personalized treatment plan and quote.
Do you offer sedation for wisdom teeth removal?
Yes. We understand that wisdom teeth extraction can cause anxiety. Our surgical team prioritizes your comfort by offering various sedation options to ensure a pain-free experience for all our oral surgery patients.
Can I see an orthodontist in North York without a referral?
Absolutely. You do not need a referral to see our certified specialist orthodontist, Dr. Julien Kim. You can book a direct consultation to discuss Invisalign or traditional braces at our clinic.
What is the difference between a dentist and an orthodontist?
While general dentists care for your overall oral health, a specialist orthodontist has 2-3 years of additional training specifically in aligning jaws and straightening teeth. Our clinic offers the convenience of having specialist orthodontist under one roof at 5000 Yonge Smiles Dental clinic.
