Dr. Daisy Chemaly is an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon from Toronto. She practices the full scope of the specialty of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. She received her Doctorat en Médecine Dentaire with honours from Laval University. She pursued her surgical residency at the University of Manitoba and obtained her Master of Dentistry thesis degree in Oral Cancer. She then elected to further her knowledge in jaw surgery as well as cleft lip and palate and completed a fellowship at the Centre Hospitalier de Nantes, France. Dr. Chemaly was recognized with numerous awards for her clinical and academic achievements. After her training, Dr. Chemaly returned to Toronto, where she taught at the undergraduate dental clinic and established a private practice in the Kingsway area, where she offers surgical treatment in all aspects of her profession. Dr. Marco Magalhaes is a clinician-scientist who combines experience in cancer cell biology, immunology with clinical training in Oral Medicine and Pathology. He is an Associate Professor at the University of Toronto's Faculty of Dentistry and the Graduate Program Director for Oral Pathology and Oral Medicine, cross-appointed to Laboratory Medicine and Pathobiology, Faculty of Medicine and Institute of Medical Sciences. Dr. Magalhaes received his PhD in cell biology at the University of Toronto in 2009 and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine Cancer Centre in New York before returning to the University of Toronto to complete his residency in Oral Pathology and Oral Medicine.
