Dr. Laughland studied biology at the University of Windsor, where he met and began his friendship with Dr. Pelka. When he finished his degree, he gained acceptance to George Brown College and graduated as a denturist in 1987. In 1987 he also married his lovely wife Kathy. They’ve been blessed with two sons, Nathan and Colin. Dr. Laughland wanted to continue his education in dentistry, so he went on to University of Detroit Mercy to study dentistry. He graduated in 1996 with a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree and went on to complete a one-year residency at Sinai Hospital in Detroit. After working in Michigan for a year and a half, Dr. Laughland returned to Canada and joined Dr. Pelka’s practice in 1998. He still works in Michigan once a week, where he concentrates on surgery. Dr. Catauro was born and raised in Tecumseh. He went to St. Anne High School and received his undergraduate degree from the University of Windsor. Dr. Alex has always been interested in being a dentist, and is particularly drawn to the aspects of artistry, patient interaction, and health care services. He decided that dentistry was the right career for him as he has known and observed several local dentists and had a great experience with his own family dentist. He attended dental school at the University of Sydney. There, he was awarded the Sydney Achievers’ International Scholarship, a 4-year scholarship based on his undergraduate performance and community involvement. Alex was voted class president every year he attended dental school, and after four years of hard work he was awarded a Doctor of Dental Medicine degree. Dr. Gabrielle Dionne was born in Portland, Oregon, and moved to Tecumseh shortly thereafter. Given that her father is an orthodontist (Dr. Dennis Dionne), she was surrounded by dentistry from an early age. She attended École secondaire l’Essor, where she became fluent in French, followed by a year at Neuchâtel Junior College in Neuchâtel, Switzerland. Following this, she went on to obtain an honours Bachelor’s degree in Arts and Science (Neuroscience & Psychology) from the University of Guelph. She then attended dental school at Trinity College Dublin, where she graduated with honours. During her time there, she was elected class representative and was also elected as President of the Dental Society. Following graduation, she earned a Diploma in Primary Care Dentistry from the Royal College of Surgeons of Ireland, and has completed continuing education courses at the Pankey…

Dr. Thibert brings over 30 years of experience and a deep commitment to patient-centred care, aligning seamlessly with our dedication to providing top-quality dentistry in a friendly, welcoming environment. A proud South Windsor native, Dr. Thibert’s journey into dentistry began at Assumption College High School and continued with a bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of Windsor. She went on to earn her dental degree from the University of Western Ontario in 1994. Since then, she’s focused on building meaningful relationships with her patients, ensuring they feel valued, heard, and cared for at every visit. Beyond her dental expertise, Dr. Thibert is a part-time fitness coach passionate about wellness and enjoys an active lifestyle.
