Their FAQ

Answers from their website.

Where is MapleLeaf Smile Dentistry located?

MapleLeaf Smile Dentistry has five clinics in Ontario: one in Mississauga (Thomas Street), three in Hamilton (Wellington Street North, Greenhill Avenue and Upper Wentworth Street) and one in downtown St. Catharines (St. Paul Street West).

Do you accept the Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP)?

We accept patients enrolled in the federal Canadian Dental Care Plan. Please bring your CDCP coverage details to your first visit so our team can confirm what is covered.

Do you handle dental emergencies?

Yes. Each clinic reserves daily emergency slots. If your situation involves uncontrolled bleeding, facial swelling that affects breathing, or trauma with loss of consciousness, call 911 first.

Do you bill insurance directly?

Direct billing is offered at most locations for major insurers and CDCP. We confirm coverage before treatment.

What ages do you treat?

We treat infants (first visit by age one), children, teens, adults and seniors. Family appointments can usually be booked together.

Who is eligible for the Canadian Dental Care Plan?

The CDCP is a federal program for Canadian residents without private dental insurance and with adjusted family net income below the program threshold. Eligibility, application steps and current thresholds are managed by the Government of Canada at canada.ca/dental.

What does CDCP cover?

CDCP helps cover preventive services (exams, cleanings, fluoride, scaling), basic restorative services (fillings, simple extractions), endodontic services, dentures and other procedures, with co-payments based on adjusted family net income. Coverage is updated by Health Canada — confirm specifics before treatment.

Will I have to pay anything out of pocket?

Some patients have a co-payment based on their adjusted family net income. Some services may have additional fees not covered by the plan. We provide a written estimate before treatment so you know what to expect.
