Abutment and restoration When the implant is ready, an abutment connects it to the visible replacement tooth. The final restoration might be a crown, bridge, denture or full-arch restoration. In some cases, stages can be combined. More complex treatment may involve collaboration with a dental specialist. At Cedar Tree Dental, Dr. Mohammad Yousefi provides both implant placement and the restorative stage that follows. This allows many patients to have the surgical and restorative parts of their care planned within the same practice.
